The CompressYourVideo Android app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. All video processing happens entirely on your device. No data ever leaves your phone.

No Internet Access

The app has no internet permission (INTERNET permission is not declared in the app manifest). This means the app is physically unable to send any data to any server, including ours.

What the App Does

• Performs all video compression on your device using hardware acceleration
• Only accesses video files you explicitly select for compression
• Saves compressed videos to your chosen storage location on the device

What the App Does NOT Do

• Does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data
• Does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind
• Does not upload your videos to any server
• Does not access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone

Permissions

The app only requests permissions necessary for its core functionality:

• Storage / Media access: To read the video files you select and save compressed output
• Notifications: To notify you when compression completes in the background

No other permissions are requested or used.

Data Retention

Since no data is collected or transmitted, there is nothing to retain. Your videos remain entirely on your device under your control.

Children's Privacy

The app does not collect any personal information from any user, including children under 13. Since no data is collected, no special provisions are necessary.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
