What we collect

We collect minimal data to operate the service:

• Your uploaded video file (processed and deleted within 1 hour)
• Your IP address (for rate limiting, 5 compressions per day)
• A cookie to track your daily compression count (expires at midnight UTC)
• Basic analytics via Google Analytics 4 (page views, country, device type)

Your video files

Your uploaded video is processed solely to compress it and return the result to you. We:

• Delete your video from our servers within 1 hour of upload
• Never share, sell, or analyze your video content
• Never view your videos manually
• Use temporary Google Cloud Storage with automatic lifecycle deletion

Cookies

We use a single functional cookie to track your daily compression count. This is required for the rate limiting feature. We also use Google Analytics cookies for traffic analytics.

• Google Cloud Storage, temporary video storage (same-region, auto-deleted)
• Google Analytics 4, anonymous traffic analytics
• Google AdSense, display advertising
• Cloudflare, CDN, DNS, and DDoS protection
